In previous blogs (and in general), people talk about success being found within the process, being present, and finding our flow.
Should we live our lives like that too?
Nutrition, exercising, work, our lives at home. If we were always focused on the little things, then would we produce a more stable, sustainable, meaningful life? Maybe.
Let's break it down further using food as an example:
What is our 'why' behind our diets?
There are no secret ingredients, no shortcuts, no magic recipe. By focusing on our values, we can fid purpose in everything that we do-including the way that we eat.
You have a cheeseburger in front of you. Are you thinking about the type of bread, meat, and cheese? How about the way they cooked it? What about where it came from?
The point of the matter is, anything can be an opportunity to discipline yourself and to add value to your daily habits and routines by just being aware and conscious of what you are choosing. Food as an example can be great for monitoring what you put in your body.
Head chef for the Minnesota Twins says:
“Most of it just has to do with local produce, whole grains, quality proteins, quality beverages, lots of variety/color”
What matters to you?
Based off of our values as a company currently, we would support finding out what foods specifically work for you through lab testing. Trial and error is also okay but it will take longer for you to find out what works for you.
"It’s different for everybody…everyone has different bodies. Guys come from all over the world but their bodies aren’t used to certain types of food."
Ultimate simplification- If food makes you feel good long term, then that would be a sustainable option.
