Meet Matt
Director of Player Development
Matt presently serves Director of Performance with DHD. His extensive background includes coaching experience at both professional and collegiate levels. Having contributed time with the Boston Red Sox, Northeastern University, and, his alma mater, the University of New Haven. During his time playing at the University New Haven, Matt gained recognition for his exceptional plate discipline, breaking the career record for walks within a mere three years.

He began his professional journey as a free agent signing with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2020, where he played for two seasons before concluding his professional career with the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League in 2022.
​
In 2024, Matt was apart of the Boston Red Sox AAA affiliate coaching staff working with top prospects as well as other MLB caliber players.
In 2023, Matt participated in a historic coaching season at Northeastern University, helping the team set schools records in wins, home runs, and stolen bases.

Matt is dedicated to fostering a player's growth, both on and off the field, aiding in their path towards becoming the best version of themselves.
